Chapter Twelve: The Effects of Major Astrological Aspects

Want to see the effects of major astrological aspects on a country?
Set the chart of that aspect for the capital of that country. Then run off a series of Solar and Half-Solar returns (make sure the returns are “Precession Corrected”). Those return charts can explain the country’s past and help you predict its future.

This one actually shocked me.

I was working late one night on the charts of Presidential assassinations and getting a little drained. So, for a change of pace, I took one of those charts of major stress aspects from the 1800s and ran off a Solar Return for 1963, the year of President Kennedy’s assassination.

It worked.

As did many other charts from 100 years earlier. That is not just before President Kennedy was born. It was before his parents were born! The question now becomes: How Long do These Effects Last?

Could the present-day Solar Returns of a major aspect that took place during the Middle Ages still have an effect now? How about an aspect from the Roman Empire or ancient Egypt?

Or maybe it could just be a fluke. So, what if one major astrological event has a Solar Return a century later, and that happens to take place a couple of months before a Presidential assassination. One occurrence is a freak accident. A second event could be a coincidence. The main point is, can you get consistent results?

Let’s take a look.

Remember we are looking for the following indicators in those Solar and Half-Solar Returns:

• The Midheaven Ruler (the President’s ruler) placed in the 9^th house (the President’s hidden enemies).
• The Ruler of the 9^th house (the President’s hidden enemies) placed in the 10^th house (the President).
• The Midheaven receiving a stressful aspect (conjunction, square, or opposition) from a malefic. Mars and Eris are violent. Pluto rules death. Uranus is sudden and unexpected events. And Saturn can be just plain old bad luck.
• The Ruler of the Midheaven (the President’s ruler) placed in the 5^th house (the death of the President).
• The Ruler of the 5^th house (the President’s death) placed in the 10^th house (the President).
• The Ruler of the Midheaven making a stress aspect to a malefic.

You might be wondering why we look at the 9^th house instead of the 12^th house for hidden enemies. Remember, we are looking at the country’s horoscope. The President is shown by the 10^th house. The President’s hidden enemies would be shown by the previous house. And that is the 9^th house. This is the system of Derived Houses.

If we want to see what is happening to the President, we must renumber the houses. That means the 10^th house becomes house number one. The 5^th house becomes house number 8, the death of the President. House 6 becomes the President’s 9^th house (long journeys). And so on all around the chart wheel.

President Kennedy was assassinated while traveling. That means we will have to check the President’s transportation houses (the 6th and 12^th houses) as well, along with their ruling planets. Let’s look at some charts.

There was a conjunction between Jupiter and Saturn on October 21, 1861. It had a Solar Return on October 23, 1963. That’s just a month before the assassination. Here is the Solar Return Chart:

• Venus rules the Midheaven (the President). Venus is conjunct Neptune (confusion). With Neptune, you sometimes don’t see what is right in front of you. Both Venus and Neptune are squaring Saturn (bad luck).
• Venus also rules the 5^th house, the death of the President. On top of that, Venus is conjunct Neptune (confusion) and square Saturn (bad luck).
• Since Venus rules both the President and the death of the President, those two houses are linked.
• Mercury rules the 9^th house (the President’s hidden enemies) and sits in the 10^th house (the President).
• Pluto, the natural ruler of death, is conjunct Uranus (the unexpected) is in the 9^th house of the President’s hidden enemies.

There was a Square between Jupiter and Uranus on October 10, 1861. It had a Solar Return October 12, 1963.

Let’s look at the chart:

• The Moon rules the President’s hidden enemies (9^th house) and is sitting in the 10^th house right on the Midheaven.
• The Moon squares violent Mars and opposes Saturn.
• Saturn opposes the Midheaven (the President).
• Mars (violence) Squares the Midheaven.
• Neptune, ruler of the 5^th house (death of the President) squares both Saturn (bad luck) and the Midheaven (the President). It is interesting to note that President Kennedy was born with Saturn and Neptune at the top of his chart in his 10^th

There was a Conjunction of Jupiter and Pluto on June 12, 1857. It had a Solar Return on June 14, 1963.

• Neptune ruler of the Midheaven (the President) is in the 5^th house, the President’s death.
• Venus rules the 5th house of the President’s death and it squares the Midheaven.
• Look at the bottom of the chart. There is a triple conjunction of Uranus, Mars, and Pluto. A Mars-Uranus combination rules guns and gunshots. Pluto of course is death. All three oppose the Midheaven, the President.
• Venus, ruler of the 5^th house (the President’s death) is square Mars and Uranus.
• Pluto, the natural ruler of death, rules the 6^th house, the President’s long journeys. Pluto is conjunct violent Mars and they both oppose the Midheaven (the President). The President is in danger of dying violently during a long trip.
• And let’s not forget Saturn (bad luck) in the 9^th house of the President’s hidden enemies.

There was an Opposition of Jupiter and Pluto November 15, 1863. It had a Solar Return on November 17, 1963, just five days before the assassination.

• Venus rules both the Midheaven and the 5^th house linking the President’s house and the President’s death.
• Venus is conjunct violent Mars. This connects Mars to both the President and his death.
• Both Venus and Mars square Pluto, the natural ruler of death.
• Pluto is in the 9^th house, the President’s hidden enemies.
• Uranus (sudden shocking events) is conjunct Pluto and squaring the Moon (the public).

There was a Saturn-Uranus Square on December 13, 1860. It had a Half-Solar Return on June 15, 1963.

• Saturn rules the 9^th house (the President’s hidden enemies) and is placed in the 10^th house (the President).
• Uranus rules the Midheaven (the President) is conjunct Mars (violence).
• Mercury ruler of the 5^th house (death of the President) squares Uranus. Not only is Uranus the President’s ruler in this chart. It is also the planet of sudden and unexpected events. And it is squaring the ruler of the President’s death.
• Venus rules the 6^th house (the President’s long trips) and is conjunct Mercury (the death of the President).
• Venus also squares Mars and Uranus: sudden, shocking, unexpected violence is more likely to occur on a long journey.

There was a Saturn-Uranus Square on July 16, 1862. It had a Solar Return on July 18, 1963.

• The Moon rules the Midheaven (the President) and is placed in the 9^th house, the President’s hidden enemies.
• The Moon (the President) is squared by Mars.
• Venus, the ruler of the 9^th house, the President’s hidden enemies, is placed in the 10^th house, the President.
• Venus is squared by Eris.

There was a Saturn-Pluto Conjunction on November 11, 1851. It had a Solar Return on November 12, 1963.

• Pisces is on the Midheaven (the President). Neptune, the ruler is in the 5^th house (the President’s death).
• Saturn is in the 9^th house of the President’s hidden enemies.
• Saturn squares Neptune which rules the President and sits in the house of the President’s death.
• Uranus rules the 9^th house of the President’s hidden enemies.
• Uranus opposes the Midheaven (the President).
• Uranus is conjunct Pluto, the natural ruler of death.
• Pluto rules the 6^th house, the President’s long journeys. This connects long trips with sudden, unexpected events and death.
• Venus rules the 5^th house, the death of the President.
• Venus is in the 6^th house, the President’s long journeys.
• Venus is conjunct Mars (violence).
• Venus squares Uranus (sudden shocking events) and Pluto (death).
• Venus also squares Chiron (wounds).

This chart alone is enough to have caused the assassination. But as we have seen, this chart is not alone. It is just one of many.

And these charts are not the only ones. There are plenty of others between 1870 and 1963 that have deadly Solar and Half-Solar Returns for the year of Kennedy’s assassination.

So how long do the effects of major aspects last? Let’s put it this way. How long do your Solar Returns affect your life? They will affect you for as long as you live. Shouldn’t a nation continue to be affected for as long as it continues to exist?
